Until a recent 'Checking serial numbers on an ibanez' thread came along, I always assumed that my JS was a newer model with an Edge III because of it's condition.
We all know what assume means. It makes an ass out of u and me.
It turns out, it's a 95 model, in extremely good condition.

It has what I was stupid enough to assume that it was an Edge III.
This being said, disregard whatever I've said about the Edge III.
it turns out, the 1995 model comes stock with an Ibanez Lo-TRS Trem II.

I've always wondered why it didn't say Edge III on it......

Just wanted to post my recent knowledge.

I was gonna put this in GB&C, but it isn't custom

you should probably link to the old thread, most of us dont remember it. (though i do)

correct me if im wrong:
he bought the JS100 thinking it was a JS1000 for a sweet deal, i think there was some edge III bashing and then the thread died down.

correct? or was that someone else?

Nah, that was someone else.

I've always defended it, saying good things about it.
But now, I'm not sure about how good it is.

Well, the LO-TRS II is a perfect fit for an OFR, heck even an original Edge. So all isn't lost.
