Get rid of the breakdowns
+1

But really, you need some lighting.

I really don't like breakdowns.

Your band is terrible. The screaming does NOT go along with the music AT ALL.
This is coming from someone who likes some post-hardcore and tons of extreme metal.

better lighting would help...it's pretty much dark the entire time. The music isn't bad..sounds like 10000 other bands but isn't bad at all

try doing the main melody/riffs in the relative minor, sounds kinda weird with the happy melodies/riffs with that style of screaming

just my opinion though

Constructive criticism, meet internet anonymity.
whatthefedit: As for the video, it doesn't even really look like it's synced up. I don't know if you wanted the camerawork to be like that, but if you didn't, get a tripod.

you should improve by.....changing your musical direction.
my god that singing is horrible.

Record multiple performances of the song, each focusing on one member of the band. After that, edit the the different clips together to make a quality video.

By the way, ignore those guys, the music is pretty solid.
#21
Take it somewhere else. Your music is great, but everyone in the Pit is a jerk when it comes to anything hardcore.

Let it be known that I was the first to post UG ftw.

Yeah, get better lighting, don't have such shaky camera work (get a tripod if you have to), and tell the bass player not to dance like that.

Recordings are pretty nice. Overall this was A LOT better than I thought. That disappoints me tbh.

This.

+I generally thought that videos and graphics and stuff was the main strength of cookie cutter metalcore bands like that.

well **** i thought the song was awesome :P
Don't get rid of the breakdowns, dont change a thing. Its badass.
**** these guys, they're just trolling.

The video like they all said is crazy dark. Tripods are useful, maybe some sort of video effects and the sync of the audio seemed a little off.
Try to make it so we can see the whole band cause your drummer might as well be a little asian man with an ellectric keyboard drumkit considering i dont think i saw him once.
Very cool stuff though, screw these guys
#26
Your music is a little generic and the screaming doesn't fit well with the music.
(You need to have good music if you want people to appreciate the video, too.)
Better lighting, don't use the same angle, stuff like that. It would probably help to have someone experienced with filming direct the video/film the video.
#27
film the lead guitarist close up for the entire song. repeat for all band members. film the entire band from multiple angles for the entire song. film somewhat of a story of what the song is about. switch between them at timely intervals and you should have a decent video.

also, you might to consider having it sung cleanly for part of the song, but i actually think it's quite good. and my ideas for the concept of the video are dependent upon the quality of the camerawork, of course, for which you've received some good advice.

EDIT: damn, beaten yet again. oh well

Not bad, but you should get better cameramen/camera angles, lights and lots of post-production.

The singers lows sound a bit funky and Im not really a fan of breakdowns but I liked the music. The videos would be better with a tripod, multiple cameras/angles etc.

How is it trolling if people say they don't like the breakdowns?

I personally can't stand them.

I've played with a drummer who added a breakdown into every song we wrote together, and the bassist in my band now keeps trying to add breakdowns into all of our songs. It shits me to no end. But then again, it's just my opinion right?

And TS asked for opinions.
#36
He asked for opinions about the video, not the music. I don't like breakdowns or metalcore (or whatever this crap is) but that's irrelevant.
#37
screw you guys, just because you have absolutely no concept of music you only think in genre doesnt mean the rest of us do. And that is where you go wrong. You think that just because you dont like it and it doesnt fit in with your other crappy ****, it sucks. hell you guys probably dont listen to anything newer than AC/DC. you dont dare open up your mind one tiny bit to admire someone elces work and musicianship. You dont kno the meaning of "flow" and you wont lower your self to say "the music's pretty good, but the vocals are my style"
so i guess what im trying to say is that all of you, with a few exceptions, are dicks.

on a lighter note:
haha whoever jsut said that the bass player needs to stop dancing like that just make my day

Hmmm...can't say I dig your style (coming from a death metal fan) at all.
And you definately need better lighting, I can see a silhouette of a guy walking about a bit and that's it.
