HNAD.

High output will give you higher output, everything will start to break up earlier - it's better to use low-output pickups on high output and high-output pickups on low as a general rule. Cleans will be cleaner when louder on low output. High-output pickups on hi-output will cause early breakup and more distortion, especially with active pickups.

Excellent! HNA&GD! I'm really digging the Epi, would look nicer in a Translucent Cherry i think though.

HNAD/HNGD!

I'm curious about your Laney VC30. Can you get metal sounds out of it on its own?

Beautiful new rig. I'm not normally digging on Epi SG's much, but there's something really classy about that setup you've got.

Nice setup - The newer VC30s look so much more classy than the old version which i have

also my newest guitar is a "white" G-400 custom which looks less classy. You have a more classy looking version of my rig! (plus one 12" speaker as i have the VC30 1x12)

happy new gear day

edit: @hellboy: no you can't get metal sounds out of it on its own, it's way too vintagey voiced for that. I struggle to get anything resembling a metal tone out of it even with pedals in fact but that's ok because i don't really play metal.
I like analogue Solid State amps that make no effort to be "tube-like", and I'm proud of it...

...A little too proud, to be honest.

I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.
