Well im thinking about adding a light onto my pedal board. I have a set of blue leds on a circuit board whcih i plan to use. What i want to ask is would it be ok to run these from my 9v pedal powerunit or could this damge the power unit(not soo bothered about leds getting damaged) And if so what other ways of powering them should i use?

Thanks, lewis

It shouldn't damage the power unit, the question is will it damage the LEDs. Make sure they've got resistors in line with them and that the resistors are correct for a 9v source, otherwise they won't work.

Ive tried them out and they seem to be running fine and they do have some resistors in front. Il put them on for now but i only found them lying around so it doesnt really matter that much if i damage them i was just concerned about the power unit.

Thanks for the help
