Hey guys.

I bought a schecter hellraiser c-1 fr from Thomann and it sucks.

I'm pretty sure its a factory 2nd. Well, I bought it a year ago and thought I was just unlucky but recently I've heard that lots of people have problems with Thomann.

If you have had any experiences with Thomann please share them

My dad buys loads of drum gear from there. He's never had a problem with them.

The pic up cavity's are drilled slightly off so the the high e and b don't sustain as long as they should and it feels cheap in general. I know this isn't schecters in general because I have played great ones

Well take that up with customer services I guess. If you can proove that you haven't fiddled with it at all you might get a replacement.

i've had great experience with them. the problems people tend to have is when something does go wrong it's painfully hard to sort it out apparently.

Not for me, I ordered (among other things) a hard shell case, and everything except that arrived as expected.

I send them an email and it was sorted within a week

my schecter feels great although when u said about the sustain i sat here plucking the e and b in fear i hadn't noticed.
that sucks man should have used gear hounds.

Bought there several times and never had any problems what so ever. If it was that bad you should complain. I'm sure they'll clear it up.

Are you sure that that isn't the normal feel of the guitar? Go check the same model out at a shop and compare. For all you know, it could very well be that the guitar is fine, but just not that great as a guitar.

I've bought a lot of stuff from them and its all good, fast delivery, quick customer service replies, like, I got a reply in an hour after asking about a floyd rose trem. Their choice is also amazing, sometimes it's too much.

As for your sustain problem, have you tried raising the pickups? on that particular side, maybe they aren't close enough to the strings? If not, maybe take it to a shop that can give it a setup? And after a year, I doubt that you will be able to return it, seeing as the warranty you get with stuff from there is a month I think. You could try though, they seem nice enough.

Good luck with it.

I recently bought a new Bass amp head and cabinet and had no problems at all.
#24
That sounds like a guitar fault, not something that would have occured from them seeing as they will just process them as cardboard boxes.

Thomann are great for non-guitar stuff. In Guitars, they do not open the boxes from the factory, so no-one has set the guitar up since the very basic factory settings which are designed to get them delivered safely. Thomann's pricing is quite good but toy can usually do better on top brands. Shipping service is very good and reliable, plus if they say its in stock, it really is on their premises, not hopefully in a day or two.

Ordered a Handsome Devil combo from thomann yesterday.

I know all the stuff I was saying about an ac4tv, but I'm heading into the studio in about three weeks and needed a nice sounding amp for distortions, so I couldn't wait til xmas for the vox.

Placed the order yesterday when the price listed on the irish store page was €349. Got an email today saying that they had recieved my order for a Blackheart amp for €389!

wtf?

The price went up by €40 overnight and despite the fact that I had ordered the amp at a certain price they insisted that I would have to pay the full €389.

I was told I had made a mistake in thinking the price was so low. I had apparently "obviously" been looking at the english ordering page. I asked if my card gad been charged. I ws told that it had been (at the full €389) and that the amp was boxed and waiting to be shipped tomorrow.

I then got an email to say that my card wouldn't process and could I rin them immediately. I, in my infinite wisdom, had put only the exact amount needed - €349 - on the card, so they couldn't charge the full €389.

A few phone calls later and I got someone who saw sense, agreed that the price had been raised since yesterday, and agreed that I should only have to pay the €349. Said they'd have to check with a colleague. They were supposed to ring me. Haven't heard anything back and it's been about four hours. I think they're closed for the night now.

I've no idea if I am being charged €349 or €389, or if my order is even being processed anymore. Basically, I'm pissed off. I've gotten stuff from musicstore.de (exactly the same type of german online store under a different brand name) and have never had an ounce of trouble with processing or delivery.

This was my first time dealing with thomann and I'm completely sickened by their attempts to not only pull one over on me, but to lie blatantly to me and even suggest that I was so moronic as not to be able to click on my own country's flag on their homepage. It's downright evil.

Show me an irishman who accidently clicks the union jack instead of the tricolour and I'll show you a flying pink cocker spaniel.

Your problems more likely with schecter than thomann, their just a distributor unless it was broken in transit its the manufacturers problem.
#29
thomann is an awesome store. But the guitars come with horrible setup since they just resell em from the distributor.

Thomann is awesome, i'm pretty sure you just bought a guitar that was crappy anyway. and even if a faulty guitar DID slip through, you always have the 30 day return guarantee.
Thomann is a completely legitimate and reliable company.

EDIT: people who have problems with thomann really are just flukes, that you'd have with every online shop. saying "OMG I LIKE ORDERED 25 PICKS AND GOT ONLY 24 THOSE MONEYGRUBBING BASTARD, XXXXX-STORE IS MUCH BETTER!!" is stupid. if they make a mistake, they're very friendly about it and do the best they can to remedy it.

Recently bought a Shecter C-1 Blackjack ATX from Thomann, and the service was excellent as was the guitar. It was delivered in just 2 working days! I couldn't beleive how quickly it had come, anyway i think you get a 30-day return guarantee so you should be able to return anything you're not happy with.

As promised I now know more and I am back. Got this email this morning and I swear I couldn't be any happier.

Hello Gerard,

yes the card worked, we booked 349,00 EUR. The shipment will leave our house today

Best regards

Thomann is a company I will deal with in the future and I'm sorry for any bad press I've put up here about them. Thomann offer some of the best prioducts at some off the best prices anywhere in europe, and I would recommend them to anyone.

Their customer support services ended up being top class, and while they may have had understandable trouble believeing an odd claim like "this amp was cheaper when I ordered it," they eventually saw that I was being honest and processed my order the following day. I should now have my amp in the middle of next week, which is absolutely brilliant.

€349 for a handsome devil combo (including free delivery and Ireland's rip off 21.5% VAT) is a steal.

Thank you, Thomann.

That's not Thomanns fault, it's the guys who MAKE it.

And if Thomann made it, then go right ahead and bitch about it. I'll join in.
