Gah it didn't work for me Anyway what type of music do you play? Floating bridge or not? And what is your budget?

Ok, so the wonderful world of Ibanez is at your fingertips.

You have many options...I'd look into the RG (midrange models) or the Universe and JEM (High-end stuff). They both have the wizard neck, most have the Dimarzio pups, and their build quality is good. Their midrange stuff is decent, but they are almost untouchable on their higher end models (the Prestige series).

What type of features do you want? 22 or 24 frets? An Edge Pro II trem or a Floyd Rose? A hard tail? DiMarzio or another brand of Pups? What styles of music do you play? What type of amp is the new axe going into?
Also, (and most importantly) what is your budget?

It seems like alot of questions, but these are all necessary to picking out the model that is just right for you.

I play the same kinds of stuff as you from the sound of it (mostly metal, some alternative type stuff from time to time.) I have been an Ibanez RG Tremolo owner since mid April and here's my impression.

PROS: Love the tone, love the feel of it and the neck profile, looks cool to boot

CONS: Firstly, I wish it had a little more sustain. Second, it's currently out of comission due to burrs in the saddles causing strings to snap every few days which is a bit of a bummer since I've only had it for around three months.

Overall I like it, I just wish it didn't already have issues that require fixing after this short a time. I think my Jackson has a little bit nicer overall performance and for this same price range.
