Hey A&C!
I'm looking into a cheapish electro acoustic, and came across this:

Takamine EG220C.

What's your verdict? Good? Bad? Ugly?

To be fair, I know nothing about acoustics, so if anyine has a better alternative, please post it up!

Cheers

Get something with a solid top. Really for a low price range like that, you can't get a very good acoustic/electric. I suggest spending a little extra for a nice acoustic. Like one of these http://www.guitarampkeyboard.com/en/al-sld-solid-cedar/9116
or any of these

and then buy a nice sound hole mounted pickup, I'd try anything by L.R. Baggs, Takamine, or Fishman. I know Takamine and L.R. Baggs make some really nice pickups.

Thanks for those alternatives, but I'm looking at something with a cutaway if possible. That's half the reason picked out that Takamine!

To be fair, I don't need it to be great, it's just something to leave at home so I don't have to lug my tele back every time I'm back from uni and such like.

Cheers again

I'm in the same position as this, so I'll be watching this thread closely

I like the one you posted in the first post, but have no idea if it's any good (hence asking for help)

Can anyone... let me (us) know if that one is any good?

I've been having another look around, and found the Epi DR-200CE. Seems alright as well, the review here on UG gives it 8.8/10.

That, the Ibanez SX-60 and the Fender CD 140S CE also look fairly handy for the price.
That said, I'm not sure how much I trust the reviews on Harmony Central for the last two!

Any input anyone?

Cheers
