Low end Squiers: baaad
The slightly more expensive one: my younger brother has that one and it's not too bad at all for a Squier.

Get a semi-cheap Strat...

Get one that's only $200 and upgrade the hell out of it.

if ur gonna spend almost $200, get a used made im mexico fender on ebay. i payed about $220 for mine. then when u want, upgrade the pickups. the rest is fine on mim strats. squier necks are not very good.

Save up a bit more and go for a classic vibe or a MIM......you'll be glad you did.

i would suggest getting a HSS strat then. u can still get a mim one off ebay for about $200. ull have both a humbucker and single coils that are fine to use for a while.
