I searchbarred and found nothing

I just got a new guitar for my birthday and the case that came with it smells bad. i've heard that new cases always smell bad, and you should air them out. but i've been airing mine out for 4 days and it still smells (Though it does smell better). Any advice?

Give it time. Keep the lid open when you have the guitar in it if possible. Just be patient :P

i leave the guitar on a stand (not in the case)

I love the smell of my Gibson case, I don't know what it is that I smell but it smells good. With that said, I remember an epiphone case for a guitar I since have sold, it wreeked of glue inside the case and was impossible to get out.

Anyways, time and febreeze are a good start ; )

You could put it outside, but then you run the risk of having the case smell like cats instead.....

leave case open and leave it in a area with good ventilation that should help it.

or

Use some case freshener to help the smell.

Personally the only time i had to air out a case is when i bought my DKMG and DXMG from a neighbor who smokes like a smoke stack at a steel mill.

Well it's not that it smells bad it's just that it's WAY too strong and it smells like chocolate but a lot sweeter
