So Ive been playing guitar for over a year and want to pick up Bass. Went to Craigslist and saw a Aria igb 40 bass. I was wondering if anyone knows anything about this bass or Company (if they are reliable etc.) and if anyone knows how much a used but supposedly good condition one would go for. Thanks for your Help.

Arias generally make good beginner / starter basses. Not familiar with that model but if the bass is not ill used, you should do OK.

Cliff Burton used Aria basses. Good enough for him. Also used basses are great. If you can buy a used bass and get what you need out of it then you have done very well. Its wise to buy your first bass used, because if the instrument is not for you then you didnt spend a fortune buying it.

Thanks everybody i offered him $75 for it because thats like all i got right now but i dont know if he'll take it. I can only hope.

Oh and I just saw a Vintage 1960's Rosac Malibu 44B - 100 watt solid state bass amp for $60 obo. Can anyone tell me if this is a good amp? Or by Vintage do they mean piece of crap?

i got an Aria IGB35 running through a Laney RB1 right now and i like it has a nice feel to it i especially like the neck and its pretty well built dropped mines and knocked it over a couple of times when i have come in from the pub or a party cause it sits next to my bed and its never really affected it.

But they are pretty good for a starter i will admit i have the 35 and i enjoy playing it especially for my first bass and the fact i got it for £40 which is pretty good.my amp cost more. But its a good guitar to get you on your feet i can tell you that.
