its a fine starter I guess. You could check out the local pawn, they have these little fellas for dirt cheap all the freakin time. You could get a nice 1X12" combo with good drive. Just dont admit to liking, looking at, thinking about, considering the Line 6 Spider or the Marshall MG around here. A wee bit of advice.... (a good laugh for a few of us I know, youll understand why soon enough, I suppose)

In the begining, it really dosent matter what you use, for the most part. Its all about feel, and developing your ears and fingers. So pick up whatever you need.
