well im getting a squier strat affinity series soon and noticed it had a 1 ply pickgaurd does anyone know what the difference is between one ply and three ply

thickness, texture, appearence... any of those are possible.

and if you're getting a squier, then don't bother asking this type of thing... they are low end guitars that you will grow out of in a year... decent for beginners, but no-frills and mediocre sound

hmm i was wondering the same thing
but i think they make pickguards for fender alone which are kinda different from the squier shape..i'm not too sure
