Like obscuring the point of the book and instead making it 10 times more violent.
Like the scene where V dies. In the book one guy with a simple handgun shoot and kills him. While in the movie he kills 10 guys with machine guns and later dies of the wounds.

i can't remember who it was by, but i found a book on wikipedia called V, it was written in the early 1900's, it sounded somewhat similar to the movie, so i just guessed thats what the movie was based on... but from what i hear its not...sooo, look it up if u want
