I like the contrast of the B&W guard. It's nothing to crazy, just subtle enough to look good.

The white is sweet.
Like the other person said - Nothing major, but it looks good.
I deeply regret the 6661 in my username. Siiiigh. Damn you, 14 year old me, you edgy little bastard.

Depends on the look you're going for, but I personally prefer the white lining a lot. It's got a nice little "pop" to it.

Yeah. It does look real nice already, but it would look even nicer with the new one.

I would say yes, but do you really want to go to the trouble of getting a new one just for that small difference? If you want to, go for it.

no trouble, stuff is always just a few clicks away. i'm just lookin for a subtle change that would maintain the simplistic look.

thanks for the replies everyone, new pics will be up sometime next week.

Well, it's going to cost money. It definitely makes it look better, but I was just saying that you should decide if it's worth it.

this is absolutely, 100% correct.
For example, Dave Mustaine has a signature coffee mix.

I'd go white pearloid if I was gonna change the pickguard. But that's just me.

IMO that would be pretty gaudy on an all black SG. but on a strat shape with the same color scheme...pure sex

brushed chrome pickguard would look amazing. i think wdmusic.com has them, i got one a while back (a mirror pickguard) for my SG and it was perfect.

Darn it, I meant to vote yes.

The guitar doesn't look so plain with the new pickguard.

i got both on ebay.

the SG is just from some dude. got pretty lucky (again) with a guitar, it looks new and it's three years old already.

the pickguard is from Dazbootman. i also got one made by Allparts but it didn't fit and ended up returning it, must have been made for vintage screw patterns.

thanks for the comments everyone.
