Here I am to present the quite possibly latest New (Old) Guitar Day this forum has ever seen.

I got this guitar some 4 months ago, but at the time I didn't have a chance to take pics and make an NGD, then I forgot about, until now. It's a 9 year old, limited edition Epiphone Les Paul 7 string, the Classic version (there was also the Goth). Now for the pics!

A nice hardcase, the seller threw it in for a bargain

Oops, dirty headstock

Ahah, true! And I went from a 6 string Wizard II to that!

But I'm finding it more comfortable than the Wizard, because I've been playing jazz mostly, and that thick neck (along with the rounder radius) helps alot with chording. Plus, I have felt no hinderance in my overall playing.

I'd still prefer a 25.5" (yeah, that's a 24.75"), not really because of clarity issues on the 7th string, but because I grew used to it, even though my hands aren't big at all and I use 011s in E Standard. And a little wider nut wouldn't have hurt, either.

Personally, I'm not a fan of LPs. They're too big and bulky for my taste. But I do like the look of the LPs.

And holy cow, that is the coolest looking LP I've ever seen.
Love the black flame top, and the White pickguard just makes it pop.

VERY NICE.

The only other Epi I know which has black transparent finish on figured maple is the Ultra-II. Other features differ, though, since it has gold hardware, black knobs and quilted maple instead of flamed.

And once again, thanks guys! She's quite beautiful, indeed. Although tonally, I believe there's feature many of you wouldn't appreciate much: I think it's chambered, something which I absolutely love about it either that or my LP has a couple of extraordinarily resonant pieces of mahogany, which for a guitar of its grade I believe it's not so. Anyway, since I (like to) play jazz, it's lovely for getting a near semi-hollowbody clean tone.

For some reason i have never even thought of a 7-string LP (almost out of LP character if you know what i mean) but my lord, this is the sex!
#28
Thats.......Beautiful

But the necks on les Pauls are already fat, wouldn't a 7-string neck be even more uncomfortable?
