Okay, I've decided my next guitar is going to be a Schecter Omen Extreme 6. Im digging the guitar, however the pickups aren't that dashing.

My question is what pickups, preferably SD (local shop is a dealer), should I put in the neck/bridge?

Do the high out put pickups such as the SD Invader require a 9v to operate? Because Im using a SS amp, Blackstar HT-5 sometime next year, and I heard actives don't go well with SS amps.

For the neck I would like something good for cleans and classic rock, and the neck for metal/soloing.

Thanks.
I don't believe in signatures. Ah, sh...

JB/'59
SH-6/'59

The invader can get muddy, especially for fast single note stuff. The JB is a versatile distortion pup, while the SH-6 packs more of a punch but lacks some versatility. All the pickups mentioned above are passive, and require no battery to operate.
