In the last two days of work, a song came on the radio that I really like. The first day I only remembered certain lines like "I moved from my home in Canada (or something like that)" and then the second day I remembered more lines like " Just a young man dreaming about mardi gras" and "knew what it meant to miss new orleans". I've typed these lyrics into google but nothing has come up. Can someone please help!!

It sounds like a southern classic rock song. Sort of like Skynyrd or Creedence. But nothing I've searched for works.

Louis Armstrong - Do You Know What It Means To Miss New Orleans maybe?

EDIT: Probably not, but hell it could be anything!

I edited a spelling mistake, not the google part. Nice try.

I'm trying it now, still no dice. I just remembered the first line of the song I think.
"Well i left my home up in canada, looking for (don't know this part) in Mardi Gras."

dude, your right, there is absolutely nothing on Google. nothing else you can remember? its bugging me now too (though I dont know why).

I know Creedence had an album called Mardi Gras, but none of the lyrics match. I also thought it might have been Neil Young since the reference to leaving home in Canada but again nothing.

lololo you see, this is ridiculous. I remember him saying "sweet mama" and a line like "Now I'm back in Canada". I also thought it'd be The Band but nothing's working out for me. I can't believe noone can find it. We have to keep searching! lol
