I need to know all the essential equipment to record and how to connect it all so i know exactly what to get and do.

Here what i was thinking about doing:

I was thinking of getting a Behringer Xenyx 2442FX as a mixer because i need at least 8 mic inputs and this has 10. The only thing about this is that i have no idea how to use it.

The software i was thinking about getting is Propellerhead REASON 4.0, mostly because it costs less than a lot of the other software out there. If you have any suggestions on easy-to-use software feel free to suggest.

For the speaker I'm thinking about getting a KRK RP5G2 Rokit G2 5In.

The big thing i have a problem with is how to set up everything.

you can't record audio in Reason, although Propellerheads is pushing a new recording program called Record. i would look at either Cubase or Sonar, both of which have editions in the same price range as Reason.
