G'day pit,
Recently my scalp has been getting itchy in places (Not head lice, I've already had a very close look at my scalp/ gone through with a nit comb) and it also seems I am malting a little (For a while my hair was coming out fairly easily, and now it's all growing back, I got little prickly bits all over my scalp)
For a while I was thinking it was just from me scratching/breaking the skin, because it stops itching when I wash it for a day or so.

But I'm after a second opinion, what is it? Broken skin? Too much oil?

Also, recently the skin my hair makes contact with (Around my shoulders) has been becoming itchy too.

It stops itching when you wash your hair? Fed up with an itchy scalp?

What seems to be the best solution here?

If I wash my hair more than once every 2 days it gets really dry and starts to damage my hair (Already been down the road of overwashing my hair, don't wanna do that again) and it seems washing it is only really a temporary solution, I wanna know what's CAUSING my scalp to be itchy in the first place.

try a different shampoo or conditioner. it could just be a reaction.

try showering without using any, and if the problem continues, consult a doctor.

Yeah, that was another option I was thinking of, I was using a different conditioner for a while and I think that's what caused the initial problem (It gave me really bad dandruff) I've been using a different one for a little while now, seems to be helping.

hot showers could explain it. but theyd have to be unbearably hot, however.

If I'm going bald, why are all the hairs I'm losing growing back?

Could be psoriasis. Get someone to check if your scalp is red. If it is, it might be worth getting some special shampoo for it. It's sometimes just natural or sometimes it can be stress induced.
