I want to use bigger string gauges on my rg 350 but the springs on the tremolo arnt strong enough to support the 52s and theres only three spring holes on the bottem of the trem, when you take of the screw cover.
So my question is can i drill new holes for it and load it up with the new springs or will that just destroy it.

Well from what I've heard, your problem really is the Edge III itself!
lol, all I know is that those things aren't the most secure.... but to answer your question I doubt you should mod your hardware like that without professional experience... Might cause some problems! Well if you did break your bridge, maybe you could replace it with a better trem system!

yes, obviously, the springs are not strong enough to bring the tremolo back down to level THAT is the problem not that the string or springs might break. that doesnt even make sense.

The edge III is a god awful trem in my opinion, but thats neither here nor there here.

What do you mean the trem springs aren't strong enough. I can guess that you need to screw the trem claw in more (as in the angle of the bridge is greater than it used to be), but without a decent description or pics, I can't be sure what you mean...
