Rectifiers are used a lot more nowadays because JCMs aren't being made anymore (none of that reissue junk) and because Rectifiers are solid, reliable amps that sound pretty good at what they do (not just heavy stuff).

Recto's are more favorable for their rock solid reliablity and tone but i do prefer the tone of an JCM800 though not as fizzy.
