New guitar time :P

Made ca. 1989-1991
LFR Schaller tremolo
SD trembucker in bridge
Some odd jackson pickup in middle
SD Screamin Demon Mini in neck

Wonderful guitar, the neck is amazing and the fret job is shockingly great. 22 frets.
Very pearly inlays. They shine like pollished balls
The action can be set up lower than on any guitar that I've owned.
I preffer slightly higher action though so it pulls that off perfectly too hehe.
Floyd Rose key holder on the back of the headstock.
The tremolo holds tune perfectly. I was surprised by this at first but after doing some research I found out that Schaller licensed trems are supposedly among the best tremolos made (?)

Sexiest ****ing finish ever.
Pearl white desert crackle. I can't stop looking at it haha.

Anyways, perfect guitar

2009/08/14 EDIT:
Scalloped it today. Copying directly from the "Ultimate scallop thread "

Awaken by the hot morning sun, I knew that it was a perfect day for a scallop-job.
The flat neck on my otherwise perfect Charvel just didn't feel right. Something had to be done about it.

I took some in-progress photos but they turned out way too blurry to use so these will do:

I messed with the contrast etc. on this one to make the details more visible.
The inlays were SUPER shallow so the lower edges of the first 3 got a bit erased.
You might or might not be able to see it here.

Here's one with the neck attached to the guitar and with the strings on.
Once again, I messed with the settings just to amplify the fading out scallop curve.

And here is a big one just because it's such a beatiful picture:

PS. I also realised that this scalloping variation is kinda like a trademark thing of mine so
I hereby dub it the:
R.J. SCALLOP

That finish is awesome!

Is the paint really cracked under the clear lacquer, or are the cracks painted?

Imma call it Olympia.
It reminds me of the old greek buildings.

That charvel is awesome... its a dinky style body!

That pickup in the middle is probably a handwound Jackson pickup that they used in their guitars in the late 80s-early 90s...I bet it sounds good

Well dunno.
See, all of my other guitars are scalloped and that's what feels most natural for me.
So it made things feel the way they are supposed to feel

I love/hate scallops.

I love them cause there's nothing nicer than a scalloped fretboard :P
I hate them because I can't play unscallops fretboards and feel comfortable.
