It's a Jaguar. 90% sure cuz I had one just like it.
If not then it's a Mustang with mods...
Then again...hmmm...tough question.

I'm still pretty sure it's a jaguar.

NVM, it's this...I think it's a Univox Hi Flyer

He played a Univox Hi Flyer restrung to lefty. The Hi Flyer was a copy of Mosrite's Mark I. The picture posted earlier of the guitar with "Gospel" on the headstock was Kurt's Mosrite Mark V model. (That particular Mark V was made in the "Gospel" year which I won't bore you with but let's just say it makes the one Kurt had rare)

Both the Mosrite and Univox guitars have mixed reviews though. The frets on a Mosrite are so small you can't bend on them and I suspect the Univox could be similar. Eastwood's Hi Flyer is even worse, It just doesn't have the sound or quality. One of the best ones you can get that is currently made is Hallmark's 60 Custom. You can bend on them and they are highly rated instruments. They cost $900 but they all come with a hard shell case and I'm tempted to buy one myself.

It was an SG, I think
No, he didn't start using an SG until after In Utero was released.

Not funny. Besides, It is a mystery how he died. Murder? Accidental suicide? (There ARE pictures of Kurt with a gun in his mouth) That is a whole other topic though.

It's kind of funny.

He killed himself. Everyone needs to get over it. No mystery, he splattered his brains all over the room. It's a shame, but he did it, end of story.

I always liked his Jagstang better.
