In the coming weeks i'll have around £300-£400 to spend on pedals. At the moment i have none and im running through a Peavey Classic 30.

Basically, i'm looking for any suggestions on which pedals i should be looking into. I had a Boss-MT2 Metalzone but it sounded horrible so i sold that and decided id ask the experts on here. I'll be playing mostly metal, Opeth/Metallica.

Thanks in advance.

The Classic 30 can get to Metallica distortion and maybe some Opeth with a good boost pedal.

Get a Maxon OD-9 or a Ibanez Tube Screamer to boost the amps distortion channel. However this can cause excess noise/feedback so you might want to invest in a noise gate as well. I would recommend a Boss NS-2 or an ISP noise gate (can't recall the model name...).

Overdrive - Rothwell SwitchBlade or Heartbreaker = £140
Delay - Wampler AnalogEcho = £120
MXR 10 Band EQ = £100

You'll find whisky very different, but try it and you'll grow into it, soon you and whisky are one, but still two, lovers dancing across a frozen lake under moonlight, wrapped in honey and warmth.
