Tried my hand at recording a few country songs that I wrote. Recently acquired a lap steel which I've been battling with ever since; it's a suspiciously difficult instrument but I'm slowly getting the hang of it. Check my profile for a taste.

I think the title has too many n's with apostrophe's. haha just kidding. Well to be honest i'm not a huge fan of country, but i still have an appreciation for it because i think it takes talent to do country. I'd have to say the track is really good and it sounds quite professional. Some parts in the song seem repetitive and get a little boring, but I really liked the solo in it.

Thanks, I appreciate that. I feel that my lap steel skills are horrendous, my first 5 takes using it were complete rubbish, but I'm getting a bit better.

Checked out one of your songs and commented on it.

That was awesome, You've got a great voice, Lyrics were good. 5 Stars

Thanks. I've never really liked my voice, although I think that's symptomatic for those of us who don't consider ourselves singers, but I'm getting used to it lately.

hey btw man, one of the reasons my song sounds a bit loosely mix is that we did it live . that's what we actually sound like when we gig. btw, i'll be stopping by your page frequently to get my country on haha.
Too cool for a signature.

Did you multi-track it or did you do a simple mixdown to stereo right away? If you have a multi-track recording you can fix a lot of issues after the fact (not the minor timing issues that I noticed a few other people commented on).

And please stop by any time, I've just added a new song from the same project.
