I'm not entirely sure where to post this so i'll post it here.

I was just wondering if anyone knew where i could get a package of audio samples for free. I wanted to start experimenting with samples in music but don't have the money or resources to make my own.
What software are you using now to trigger the samples?

The best VST database on the net is http://www.kvraudio.com/ where you'll find tons of freeware plugins, virtual instruments, etc.

A google search for freeware samples would surely turn up a ton too.

Could I get some more talent in the monitors, please?

I know it sounds crazy, but try to learn to inhale your voice. www.thebelcantotechnique.com

a few good sites are sampleswap.org and freesound.org. If you don't have the resources to make your own, how can you have the resources to use them? Get audacity, import a song or something, chop it and affect it into something sample worthy and load it into a software sampler as suggested by axemanchris. That's all free bro.
