I played the 500, and was highly impressed. And now that I see the 1000 out, I'm interested, but there aren't any near my area. So, how would you guys rate this pedal, for those of you that have played it. Is it better than the 500, or just more expensive?

Well then.

Imo if you have enough money to get the RP1000 then I would just put some money into separate stompboxes. I also like Line 6 PODs better than RP1000s. You should go and play other multiFX at a near guitar store. Also, what amp do you have?

I'm actually looking for a system I can play directly into my comp on because my amp is crappy. It's a 15w crate. Very bad. Only good for cleans.
What would you say is a setback of the RP1000?

You should just get the RP 500 and buy a good wah pedal with it. Digitechs RP series is nice, but all the wahs on them sort of suck

I'm actually not interested in wah's that much, I'd only use the volume section of it really. I'm mostly looking at the vareity of distortions, acoustic, cleans, chorus, and it has a loop portion which is a big plus.

Trust me, you will get PLENTY of distortions with it lol. I have a 250 unit and its more different types of distortion that I ever would have thought to use. And take advantage of every single thing its got on it. Like, it's loaded to the brim with delays, phasers, flangers, reverbs (although I usually just use my amp's reverb) and other bitchin stuff like that. I would really recommend that line of multi-effects unit to anyone

It's not worth it. For the price I would rather get a Line 6 POD X3 live, Boss GT-10, TC Electronic Nova System, Zoom G9.2tt.

I found a cheap deal online, one barely used. It's cheaper than the line 6

I sold a BOSS GT-10 a few months ago and didn't settle on a different multi-effects... until I won this RP-500 yesterday.

I'll keep you posted.
