Are there any good shows (any: comedy, talkshows, documentaries, drama) on broadband uk tv that I can enjoy?

I just watched an episode of the East Enders in like 7 and I enjoyed it pretty well.
Good to see the chaos in Middle Class English families.

I'm excited for the "Later with Jools Holland" show in thursday.

Easy!

Ashes To Ashes
Life On Mars
League of Gentlemen
Countdown
Jam & Jerusalem

but really all that matters is boosh.

There's a lot of great British TV on the main 4 channels.

Check out any Louis Theroux for documentaries, he's brilliant.
The Office, Extras, Inbetweeners, Skins, Outnumbered, Top Gear, IT Crowd to name a few for comedy type things.

I heard on the radio that UK TV constitutes 53% of total worldwide consumption, or something crazy like that

There is nothing good on TV over here.

The only good stuff you'll find are the repeats of various things on GOLD and Dave.

Hell yeah. Boosh kicks ass.

I watch Dave (the digital channel) for Top Gear, Dragons Den, Mock the Week, QI, Live at the Apollo, Red Dwarf etc... BBC 3 just for Family Guy, that's about it. There's usually nothing decent on normal telly.
My Gear:

2008 Squier Affinity Telecaster (Special Edition Butterscotch Blonde)
2005 Epiphone Les Paul Special II
Marshall MG15CD

Watch Blackadder if you can find it. Also red dwarf, father ted, alan partridge and QI are good programmes to watch.
TRANSFORMICE

Little Britain is a fantastic documentary about everyday normal British people. Mandatory watching if you enjoy British culture and life.

Gear List:

Fender MIA Strat (in black, HSS)
Godawful Marshall MG practice amp

I wondered this also.

Since when has Eastenders been seen as middle-class?

"Awright Charlee, I'm goin' outta t'aan to do me fox huntin', awright?"
"Awright Mo, just don't get no rabeys while yerr at it laav"

Anyway.

OT :

QI.
Black Books.
Story of North Sea Oil (no, seriously.)
Occupation (didn't actually see this, meant to be good.)
Iran and the West
Have I got News for You?
Top Gear (not the recent series.. It's been so-so.)

I agree with one of the posters above as well, Louis Theroux makes some great documentaries. He made one about meth the other day. Haven't seen it just yet, but his last one about the streets of Philadelphia was brilliant.

Family Guy, American Dad, Friends, Everybody Loves Raymond, Ugly Betty, House, 24...

Oh, wait.

But seriously, there are no good UK shows, we steal american shows.

EDIT: Apart from:

Mock The Week (my uncle was the first producer), My Family.

Eastenders isn't good. It isn't real. It also isn't depicting middle class families.
