hey should i get a vetta 2 212 for 500 dollars
or a vox ad120vt for 350 and pay around 200 for a VC-12
also the vetta i found is like 400 miles away to drive there but the vox is nearby
#2
Vetter obviously would be better because it is a HIGH END modelling amp whereas the AD series from Vox is a BUDGET modelling amp.

BUT

if i were in your situation, i would not have the willpower to drive 400 miles away to get the amp.

i thought the vox was a preety high ended modelling amp the ad120vt is worth 1200 new

Vetta dude, just get it.. it's amazing.

I'd shoot myself in the foot to get a Vetta II for $500.

hey just curious what if the guy upgraded the vetta 1 to the vetta 2 and then changed the cabnet to the vetta 2 cab. Would that be exaclty like the vetta 2?

Is this the Vetta I saw on the sf bayarea craigslist?

There's a peavey triple x on there for $400, better than the vox but not as good as the vetta. Still I would not drive 6 hours for that vetta.

EDIT: nvm, the vetta I saw is $750 and in Berkeley.

That's 6 hours each way, dayum. Might as well stay in LA for a while.

Hah, I live in Orange County. Not like I'd buy it, though.

Speaking of which, those of you who live in the area should check this out:

I know I'm going. I might not buy anything, but it looks pretty cool.

Well worth the drive for that price. Once you have it you will thank us.

Vetta, no contest. Though, I wouldn't drive 6 hours one way for it, no way in hell. Just have the guy ship it to you.

I've had tube amps for a while now, but never actually had any go down on me

maybe you're not saying the right things? an amp likes to know you care.

Wrong

Original Valvetronix series. Designed for gigging, not practice, saves up to 128 presets, multiple effects at once. It's great.

But from what I've heard about the Vetta I'd go for that. Although 400 miles is a bit much... Try and work something out with the seller.

For that price on a Vetta (provided it's in excellent shape) I'd drive twice that distance and like it.

Line 6 Variax 700
Dean V-Wing
Dean ML 79 SilverBurst
MXR M 108

Valve Junior (V3 Head/Cab and Combo)
VHT Special 6
Phonic 620 Power Pod PA
Wampler Super Plextortion
Line 6 Pod HD

There is no comparison between the two amps. The Vetta retails at three or four times the price and has 50 times the capabilities. It sounds better, though, the most important thing.

Definitely go for the Vetta. I payed that much for mine that was in average (not great) condition.
