I've been practising double stops now for a week or so.. but still haven't found any decent solos with them in it. Could anyone help with this?
Does it offend you, yeah?

Yeah, I'm not sure which songs specifically but Kirk uses a lot of double stops.

It's like you take vodka, and then dilute it down until it's pretty much water, but still call it vodka, and proceed to pretend to get heavily wasted off it.

Jimi Hendrix & Stevie Ray Vaughn used a lot of double stops. If you really want to go old school, check out Johnny B. Goode by Chuck Berry.

Double stops often feature slides as well. You might want to check out some GnR solos, Slash uses double stops quite a bit.

or you can just make up your own solo.

but what i was going to say was mentioned, jimi hendrix, blues in general. ;p

so a double stop is just playing 2 notes at once while "soloing"?

Ive seen some rhythm parts that consist of a chord, but only 2 notes from it at a time are being played, ie, the bottom two strings, then the top two, etc. those that count as a double stop?

If you mean like in Smoke On The Water, those are powerchords without the root.

If you want, look up Anna by the Beatles.

Its a solo/breakdown with two guitars, but you can play it as one guitar with double stops.

I feel bad looking at porn simply because of the ol' story that a lot of those girls were molested as children, But I've never heard of midgets being molested, so it doesn't matter to me anymore, as that's the only kind of porn I watch.
