hey guys,i could really use some opinions in this matter.any help would be greatly appreciated.

so here is the deal:

its between my brand new Carvin V3 or a retubed good condition Mesa Nomad 100.

i play jazz and technical death metal.

if you could give me reasons why you chose either one it would be greatly appreciated.

any thoughts?

The v3 would be more versatile to cover those styles

Cleans better than the nomad. Can get heavier than the nomad as well.

Is the nomad like the F series? Because F series is heavy as you like, and i'm willing to bet has better cleans...

A right, i thought it was based on the DC amps... but you're probably right. Anyway, my vote go's to the Nomad in that case.

For that wide range of music, i'd suggest the Line 6 Vetta, it's regarded as one of the best Modeller amps around, and it won't engrave a hole into your wallet.

i can afford to invest in a versatile non-modeling amp.

i just hate the way those things sound.they are a "jack of all trades, master of none" kind thing.i need a master of all things.haha

I've never tried a Carvin Amp, but I always hear phenomenal things about them.
