So, i go down to my local music store to see if they have an EHX Metal Muff. I get sidetracked, and look at their used guitars. WHAM! I saw it. I knew i had to play it.

Hmmm... a Schecter... I wonder what model?

Oh, a diamond series guitar... a C-1...

Hmm... whats that peeking out of the corner? A DS-1?

NO! A MD-2! (which takes a lot of tweaking)

The weird part is, this thing has V-1 and V-2 pups. Those are ibanez made, right? WTF?

HNGD!

How is the MD-2?

It's nice, TONS of low end, sometimes too much... It's really versatile, i can roll off the dist and increase the gain boost, and it acts as an overdrive!

Well, they never had a metal muff, i've never played through one... but they did have 2 used distortions, a Rocktron Zombie rectifier, and the MD-2. I got mine for $45, but it was used, so..

Oh, i forgot to mention. The neck is satin finished, the first i've seen on a schecter. Most have a gloss finish! I LOVE THIS THING

Satin neck? Cool, though I prefer the painted glossy/paint finish on my Classic. I would keep that thing for a long time man. You can mod one of those into infinity.

That is a nice shade of blue. Very eye-catching. I have had my eye on a Schecter lately, but just can't pull the trigger.

Too bad you didn't get to try the metal muff. I loved mine back when I actually used it. Now it just sits in the closet until I find something cool to trade it for on Craigslist. Bought a 2 year warranty and used it for only 2 months

Maybe they are not Ibanez PU's but the PU covers from an Ibanez put over the stock Schecter PU's.

Just a thought.

Hey I said it was just a thought. No need to get sand in your vagina.

I have seen stranger things done to a guitar.
