Tony played with Holdsworth. He was definately one of the sickest jazz drummers out there. shame that he died.

Must admit I never really saw what his playing was all about. Played the drums for many years, never really went into the whole fast jazz playing.. ding, ding de ding..

But many fellow drummers see him as one the big guys.

I haven't heard much of his band Lifetime, but his playing in the Miles Davis quintet is awesome. I'm myself first a drummer and then a guitar player and the intro to Seven steps to heaven is, to me, one of the best bits of drumming ever!
