I noticed that some songs would be so much better if they were done with a different vocal style. Might just be being picky, but I'm sure it would have a massive difference

For me it's Black Dahlia Murder. Everything about them is incredible, but his high scream ruins it for me, seeing as it's the one mostly used. It just sounds kinda weak. Anyone disagree?

Coheed, MCR, Blink 182 (Tom being replaced though).

All have crappy vocals in some way.

I can see where you're coming from, but I've grown rather fond of Claudio's voice

I'd have to say Protest the Hero. I'm not too fond of the instruments, but I'd give them a chance if that singer wasn't so Aweful.

Anthony Green for the win!

I wish Dave would've sang more lead in Nirvana

I ADORE Smashing Pumpkins, and Billy Corgan, but I really wish D'arcy would've song more, she had a beautiful voice

I wanna hear Jeff Buckley sing for Queen...

This. James was pretty great with their older stuff, and I love the covers on the new album. But since their songs started getting heavier, his voice has suited the music less and less

EDIT: The food poisoning incident really didn't help matters, either

I couldn't disagree with you more. At first his voice was a little over the top for me, but once I got used to it I began to love it!

As for me, I would have to say Unearth. I still love their music I just think they could sound better with a different vocalist.

The vocals on the Crack the Skye were the first thing I liked about it.

I'd say Children Of Bodom, great band, but Alexi's vocals and lyrics don't really add anything for me.

Five Finger Death Punch.
Would be much better with a vocalist who doesn't scream.
Fender American Special HSS Stratocaster
Ibanez 1987 Roadstar II Deluxe

- I love Dallas' voice but the other two are crap.
Dead By April
- His screaming's good, but he sounds way too feminine and whiney when he sings.
Muse
Story Of the Year
- I can't stand the backing vocalist.
Emery
- The guy sounds good in some songs but not others.
Metallica
- You can hate me all you want for saying that, I just don't like James' stupid yelling.
Busted
- I probably shouldn't admit to even liking a couple of thier songs. I love Charlie's voice, although he is better suited to Fightstar. Matt is a mediocre singer, and Jame's voice is just a whiney and nasally and horrible in every way imaginable.

I might edit some more in later if any come to mind.
I deeply regret the 6661 in my username. Siiiigh. Damn you, 14 year old me, you edgy little bastard.

Aye, they give up on the screaming and admit that they're just a power metal band

EDIT: V I change my mind quite a lot about Randy. Sometimes I think he sounds great, but on other songs he just sounds too... I dunno, screechy?

This. Although Milk Lizard is still a kickass song, regardless of the vocalist.

On the subject of Anthony Green, his teamup with Zolof The Rock And Roll Destroyer is their best song. I can't stand the girls voice for that band. But Circa and TSOAF are great, and Anthony HATED being in Saosin. Cove fits so much better, if only he'd learn to scream though.

also, Dance Gavin Dance & Emarosa, I don't like the dude's voice in either of them. His screams are just plain hard to listen to. His clean voice is amazing, if only he would use it more.

EDIT: Senses Fail IS Buddy Neilsen, he built that band from the ground up, the lyrics, melodies, and even the same comes from him. It's also got deep roots in poetry. Buddy Neilsen is a genius. If you like his screams though, he does a lot more screaming in his side project, Bayonet. But Senses Fail without Buddy would just be Fail.
