Well i've heard clips of it.. luv the heavy tone to it.. Hard to find people that own one though

Does anyone on here own an AMT Electronics pedal.. or the du hast one?

if so,

Is it good quality??

NOTE: Yes i know i own a line 6 spider and yes i know it isn't the best amp in the world. I know atleast a few of you will say that i need a new amp and how the pedal won't sound good through it ect ect.. I DON'T CARE!!!! I just want to see if anyone here owns this pedal. And don't waste your time typing "Save your money for a new amp" Because i already have money i'm saving up for.. this is a seperate fund

Thanks,

I've owned my AMT DT-2 for a couple years now and still use it almost daily. I've run it both through an amp (5150 combo power section or Fender RAD 20) and direct (with impulses) and it's great. The pedal has not given me any problems at all (comes with a lifetime warranty if you send in the registration card). My only gripe about the pedal is that you need a screwdriver to change batteries, but that's a moot point if you use a power adapter.

I've not tried the Du Hast pedal, but I thought that it had a bit much low end and not enough clarity or mids to really cut through (could just be the way it was EQ'ed though). If you are looking for an AMT pedal strictly for heavy metal tones, I'd have to recommend the Extreme III. It's like a rectifier in a box and it has a better mid-range and a very wide range of usable gain.

Here's a clip of the Extreme III (not mine).

yeah i play all the way from nickelback to green day to slipknot to lamb of god to bullet for my valentine...

how much does that pedal cost anyway...?? cause i would like somthing that would suit majority of these bands.. The du hast pedal would be good for slipknot.. maybe lamb of god.... and some heavier nickelback songs.. and it costs 69$ on musiciansfriend

The extreme 3 is $120. A bit pricier, but I prefer its sound over the du hast. However, if you're limited by your budget, the du hast will be good for the heavier stuff that you play. I just don't know how it'd sound in a lower gain "crunch" setting as I've never heard anyone use it in such a way.

Oh yeah, you can look at the full AMT line here.

well i'll see how much my next few paychecks are and that will depend on which one i get.. but if i get the du hast... my spider has a good enough setting on it for the stuff like green day and less heavy nickelback.. just when i go to play slipknot and stuff the spider doesn't have the best gain..
