I just got some new backing tracks on CD. What is the best way to get them to play through an amp or another loudly projecting device (besides playing in a place that has it's own setup that allows me to just pop the cd into a player and stream it through their system)?

Things i currently have that may help-
-laptop computer
-looping station
-Ipod

put them on an ipod and get a 1/4 to 1/8 adapter (instrument to headphone size) for like, 5 bucks at radioshack, plug it straight into the amp via your guitar cable.
My Gear:
Gibson Faded Flying V
"Dante's Inferno" Iceman
Fender Hot Rod Deluxe 112
etc.

I can't imagine anything worse than shagging to Mark Knopfler.

Maybe shagging Mark Knopfler, but that's about it.

or you could just burn them to your ipod/mp3 player and put your headphones in your ears and just play along.
