ok, so i got a new guitar (huzah!) it's a Schecter Hell Raiser C-1, and it has EMGs in it, i think They're EMGHZs or something, are these pickups any good? also, i like the coil tap it really helps for switching to neo-classical or blues.
so if these pickups suck, then can you guise recommend me some replacements that are coil-tapable?

Do you like the sound? It sounds like you do. Then they're fine.

And the EMGs in a Schecter C1 Hellraiser are the active pickups. They are either the EMG 85/81 combo or the 89tw/81
Ibanez RGT42DX
Vox AC30C2
Digitech Whammy (FOR SALE!)
Dunlop GCB-95F Crybaby
Boss DD-20
Boss SD-1

I enjoy these pickups a lot. They give me great metal and blues tones. But my favorite are the rectifier tones

but they're not
it say Hz on the pickup instead of EMG
and i don't recall hearing anything about the 81/85's being coil tap ready

the ones in my guitar ARE coiltapable
im just wondering if they're decent pickups
i now know they are, except for the 89.

NEW TOPIC
any feed back on the EMG 89?
also, is the 85 coil-tapable, because I've heard great things about that for a bridge pickup.

I hate my 85....too bassy in the neck. I flipped my 81 upside down and OMG what a difference.
I've bought, sold, and traded more gear than I care to admit.
