I'm looking for a new amp and narrowed my search down to 2: the Blackstar HT-5S and the Hughes and Kettner Edition Tube 25th Anniversary.

I play a whole array of stuff, from clean to high gain but I mainly play pop punk. What one will be better recording and live? (Bare in mind they can be hooked up to a PA). Also, does the H&K warrant the extra £100 I will have to spend on it?

of thos two I'd go for the H&K but I'm a H&K whore so I don't my opinion is very valid.

But on a more serious note, both are nice amps. If they can't go gainy enough for your needs a boost pedal works miracles.

I think it's not a case of 'what's the right choise' but more 'what's the right-er choise' (if that makes any sense )

'Practice amp' = amp you practice with? In my case, Peavey 6505+ and 4x12
I don't do things small
