My friend and I have a quarrel about a certain line in a verse of a song he wrote. He thinks it's an ingenious line when really it is kind of saying the same thing twice.

Today was a new day.
yesterday's tomorrow couldn't get any better

He thinks the second line is one of the best lines ever and says its deep because of the "yesterday's tomorrow" part. Your thoughts?

Well, we kind of need to the whole song to see if the line fits. But after seeing just that, I dont have much of a problem with it.
Too lazy to come up with a clever or relevant sig.
