Soon I will be attempting to cherry burst my PRS style kit I am buying ( a SAGA one ) and just wondered what sandpaper to use in between layers of paint? And if I need to use any different paper for the laquer layers?

I am a TOTAL novice at this so please go easy on me!

This sanding between layers is crap.

First, you would only sand after 3 coats and then only if the finish was really bad and certainly not is it was metallic.

You shouldn't need lots of coats of colour if you do the job right and as long as you don't leave it ages between coats, you won't have adhesion problems.

So, get over to the painting thread and tell us exactly what you intend to do and I may come along and advise you, depending on whta you say and how I feel.
