So my amp has an effects loop, but I don't use any modulating effects. The only real "effects" I use are distortion and wah. Should I put these through the loop, or just straight into the input?

Try it! I mean, there's no sense in not trusting your own ears. If it sounds better to you, than that's what matters when you're playing.

It does sound better actually, I'm just wondering if it might damage my amp.
But I am REALLY digging this amp, seriously, this thing is amazing

Both of those should stay in front. Effects loops are basically there so you can put modulation/delay based effects after preamp distortion. In your case though, Id just ignore it for now

you like the sound of the slash wah from your effects loop? i've put it through my effects loop before and when i step on it, my volume goes to zero. My amp is lacking a loop level switch though, so that could be my problem.
