Yes buy it. They have the same circuit as a TS-9 I think.

You are correct. Any mods for the TS9 will work for the TS7.

not the same circuit. it's very similar, but it uses cheaper components and a weaker housing.

you get what you pay for, usually. if you want a cheap OD, look at the Bad Monkey by digitech or the two Cool Cat ODs from Danelectro. most other ODs under $50 are pure and utter sh*t. you're pretty safe once you hit the $100 range, though. then it's all up to personal preference.

get a cheap marshall... my MG15DFX has a button that simulates the sound of one of the expensive tube marshall amps.

I have a healthy amount of mid and treble, and the bass is turned down pretty low. I think the pick-ups in the spear may be lacking, a JB will sort that out

it's not the same anymore. if you;ve watched the adverts, transparent OD is now in the v2 stage, because Paul cochrane brought this up to Dano, so they had to change the circuit.
if your pedal looks like this with the gold label:

then it will be a pre lawsuit pedal.

if it looks like this, with a black label:

then you have a V2 version of it. still good, but not as good as the first run. i believe that they're changing the circuit to the OCD clone as well.

good job. are you sure it's the gold label, or did you order it from a site like Music 123 or musicians friend. they still have the old pics up, but they're shipping the V2s.
