I'd like to get a low-watt tube amp.

I play mostly metal, and like to use a clean setting for chords.

It seems like there are so many choices out there.

I've thought of maybe the Krank Rev Jr Pro 20, Blackstar HT-5, B52 AT112, a couple different Bugera combos.........

I will not be gigging with it, just playing in my living room. It doesn't have to have on-board effects, but it needs to at least have an FX loop, for a reverb pedal maybe.

As far as price goes, the Krank would be pushing it.....I think the mini-stack is like $800.

I've yet to find any of those amps listed locally to try out.

Some advice would be greatly appreciated. Input on the amps listed, other suggestions?

Well the b52 is 60watts if your looking for stricly low wattage. What bands specifically do you want the sound of? And what is your budget?

And I got a Blackstar but was disappointed by the amount of gain it had on tap... it needs a pedal to do metal. I'm returning mine to get a Bugera 6262 112. Everything about It blew me away but it was 120w which is the only bad thing and they don't have a smaller or cheaper model.

Are you being sarcastic? It has Transtube technology. It's a hybrid that emulates a tube amp... It's not a tube bro.

6505 112...onboard reverb.

Low watt amp for metal???? Oxymoron.

Does anyone know where I can get a "low-watt" chainsaw?

...and yes...I'm BAKED!

The 6505 combo looks cool, but I'm afraid a 60 watt tube amp wouldn't sound very good at low volume. I guess the same would go for the Bugera 6262 combo as well.
