I was looking at some stuff, thinking of experimenting once I got some cash and I was looking at the Way Huge Electronics' Swollen Pickle fuzz pedal. Concerning guitar, it sounds very, very nice, but I was wondering if anyone had played it with a bass before. I know people use Big Muffs with bass, and they at least claim to get a good tone, but I was wondering about this particular pedal. I've been told it's a clone of the Big Muff, but I can tell they've made some improvements and I have a suspicion that it may do well with bass.

So, anyone have a Swollen Pickle?

I haven't tried the Swollen Pickle, but I've used the Pork Loin on bass and it sound fantastic.
Nope, no sig here.

Very nice. I'm not a big drive fan for bass, but that gives me high hopes for the Swollen Pickle. Hopefully soon, I'll get to go to my local GC and try it out.

Yes...Yes they did. At it's core, it's a Big Muff clone, so I guess they had to come up with a more offensive name if they wanted to sell their product.

I own the Swollen Pickle

I really do like it, it replaced my Russian Big Muff as soon as I got it. It sounds fantastic, and it has a really nice versatile range. It works well with bass, unlike the Big Muff which kills lowend. I would definitely recommend it. I can load a clip of it with bass if you want.

Seriously? Yeah, please do that, I'd love to hear it. If it can get as skanky as the Big Muff can, while still maintaining the low-end, then I'm happy.
