A mate of mine left his Boss Overdrive Pedal at my place a couple of weeks back after a recording session and he said I can keep it 'cos it doesn't work. I checked it out and there's no signal coming through it when it's "on" but when it's "off" you still get the standard dry signal running through the pedal.

I've tried it in a few different setups, i.e. straight into my Marshall head, DI'd straight through 2 different preamps and straight into a small Peavey combo and it doesnt work at all.

Any idea of the problem and how to fix it?
It's no big deal if it doesn't work but it would be cool to have it/sell it.

Probably a fault in the distortion circuit (loose wire or something). So if it switches to dist, it doesn't work, but when it's on bypass it does work... I dunno, I'm not a real expert, just what I was thinking
