So i have decided to go for the Valveking (please, hold your appluase ), my only question is what size? Idk if i should get the 112, the 212, or the 100w Head. It needs to be able to match up to my brothers incredibly loud Drumming and a Peavey Vypyr Tube Half Stack (Not sure how many watts). Any suggestions?

If it matters, I want the half stack just cuz, but I probably wont get it if i dont need it to save myself some money.

My bands style i guess is would be like Throwing Stone Sour (Come Whatever May Album), Foo Fighters, and Newer Rise Against in a blender. Hard Rock, heavier riffs and solos mixed with more upbeat and fast paced riffs.

Budget, I would say is around $1000. I don't really wanna go over that. I dont even wanna go that high, but i will if i need to.

Oh man I hated the valveking when I played it. It's not complete crap that is but not special by any means.

For $1000 and if you go used, you could buy a Marshall JCM 800 combo or stack which would be great for hard rock, you could even score a Solano or Mesa Express combo (though there is a stack for 900 on my craigslist). If I were you, I'd rethink the valveking. Also, yes halfstacks are cool but I didn't have my Hughes and Kettner 50 watt 1x12 combo past 10 o'clock when playing with my drummer and he hits hard.

Yeah, that was what i WAS gonna get.I changed my mind for some reason, not quite sure why.

I was also looking at the Marshall DSL50 once before.

I checked the prices, and the 800 is considerably more expensive than the 900. Is there any major differences? Because if the 900 is only $500, i would be going with that over the $1000 800. I am gonna need money for a cab too.

The JCM 900 has more gain, really. I think thats the only major difference.

You'd need a cab if it isn't a head. Look into Avatars.

How about the DSL50? I looked into that once before, and it seemed like what i needed, but i couldnt find then, so i changed my mind. There's a tone of them on ebay and craigslist now though, would that better suit my purpose?

What are the stock tubes in the DSL50? I found one on ebay with JJ KT-77 power tubes, and JJ preamp tubes, and i have never heard of those, which makes me curious. I thought it used EL34's?

But i dont really know too much about tubes, so please excuse me if what i just said made me sound like a total F***ing retard.

Some mod DSL'S with kt-77's. They come stock with el-84's.

if you want to hear the difference between a jcm800 and 900 on my profile i have 2 clips. the "mind your head" clip is recorded using a jcm900 and the "take it away" clip is recorded using the jcm800. i am playing a les paul in both. i have a feeling you will like the tone of the 900 but the 800 has that real rock n roll tone that only an 800 can get.

Well, You could probably get a better amp if you can afford the halfstack.
Do after searches with your budget, and see what else you can find.

EDIT: Just to answer your question, the Valveking would be loud enough to keep up with your drummer, 50 tube watts is a lot.
Wait.
