I turn 18 next month, and I'll finally be able to skydive, it's one of my dreams to do before I die. I already got a price of 275 dollars for tandem jumping at the town next to mine, only a 10 minute drive to the place. So have any of you skydive before? What's it like? Share your stories.

I never have, but I'm about to enlist into Air Force Pararescue so I will have my fair share of skydiving. Tell us how it goes.
#9
Yes... in the Marine Corps, but it's a bit different.
We'd never strap ourselves to another guy.... that's for the Air Force ~

OH.... edit....
worth every penny. Do it... it's amazing.

Yes, it does a bit. You should be fine if you can do roller coasters though. It's a rush. Tandem isn't quite as much fun but you'll still get the "bug". You'll want to do it again..... I guarantee it.

It's a shame that there isn't a place that you can do HALO jumping as a civilian... High Altitude Low Opening. Truly amazing.

I have never done it, but I imagine it's like falling from a plane.

You must be home-schooled.

U.S. Airborne Infantry or Brigada de Fusileros Paracaidistas (Mexican Air Force.) That's what I'll be doing later, so I'll be skydiving quite often.

Good for you. I really want to do it. It sounds so fun to be falling at terminal velocity and then suddenly start floating down at a leisurely pace.

Are we still talking about sky-diving here?

We were, until you tried to be funny.

Why jump out of a perfectly good airplane?

Again with the "funny"? Man asked a serious question and you responded with a joke that's older than you?

Sad.... really.

Evidently I'm meaner than you're funny. He asked a serious question and you felt the need to post crap.

I'm the bad guy?

Wasn't trying to be funny, I really don't get the point of skydiving.

About half a case of beer... lol
and... please don't call me dude.

I've always wanted to do this too, but I've never actually got around to it and it's been four months since I turned 18. Maybe I'll ask to do it as a 19th birthday present or something. Anyway, have fun. I'm sure it's a blast.

Ok then.... I gave the man an honest assessment on skydiving. What did you contribute?

Enough already. I'm not about to get into a catfight with you. Have a good night wesselbindt.

It ****s your ears up more than anything but the rush you get from jumping outta a plane is well worth having to pop your ears for a little while.

Somewhere...
Somewhere there's a field and a river
Somewhere...
You can let your soul run free
Someday...
Someday let me be the giver
Let me bring you peace baby
Somewhere...
Somewhere there's a break in the weather
Somewhere...
Where your heart and spirit go free
Someday...
Someday it'll be for the better
Let this bring you peace...

Oh right,
I never have skydived,
but I hear its amazing.
