After missing one FedEx delivery on Saturday, I set out today to make sure not to miss that large, white truck of fun today.

Unsurprisingly, the man carried a package (no, not that kind, dirty kids) which I took (once again, stop thinking those thoughts. It was the brown kind of package. Actually, I think I'll stop while I'm ahead )

Since I forgot to snatch a pair of scissors while downstairs, I mimick MacGyver I use what's around me.

After an arduous 5 minutes of opening packing tape with a pen, I open up said package.

Lo and behold, it was not my monthly shipment of adult sized diapers. Instead, it was...

...

...

an amp. Enough explaining, here is the promised pr0n:

I love this thing. I really do. The attenuator works wonderfully and sucks very little tone... of course, it can still get very loud. It can get almost any tone out of it (except t3h br00t4lz; surprisingly, however, it does a great Iron Maiden and Randy Rhoads when cranked up with a Tubescreamer).

If you wanna get technical, pr0n is the guts of the amp but its all good either way.

FedEx have been great today. They dropped off my new battery for my laptop

Very nice, how much did that cost if you don't mind me asking.

$545 including shipping. Very reasonable for a handbuilt Dr. Z.

The simplicity is a nice visual thing.

As long as it sounds good as well.

It sounds excellent. if there was anything that bugged me it would be the fact that there is no EQ'ing to be had here... but it sounds great by itself, so no complaints here.

HNAD, I've never seen an amp which is so simple.

Now that I've played a bit more, the distortion has a thick, fuzzy quality to it. Think Tiny Terror with less fizz and more depth. And one less knob of course.

What are the specs Beet?

Two tubes in total (a 12AX7 and an EL84). I've only had experience with 6L6 or 6V6 tubes, so it's a bit different in how it breaks up. Which I like, I've always been a sucker for the Brit tones of vintage Marshalls and such. Really simple amp through and through. 5 watts with just a volume and attenuator. It's a foil for my Vetta, really.

I love these amps. I will own one someday I stop by a store that carries them around here quite often just to drool over these amps (and Bogner, Divided by 13, etc, other amps out of my budget)

Right now, a Krank 1x12 cab. Say what you want about their amps, but their cabs are the shizz. Solid construction and quite a nice speaker, too (an Eminence Legend). Dr. Z cabs look fine, but a tad expensive. Possibly in the future if I get OCD about the amp not matching the cab.

lol i hear ya. a local shop here is selling a USED Z Best 2x12 for $500. My Maz is a combo so I dont really need it, but I've been wanting to hear what it would sound like through 3 speakers at once.

EDIT: oh and believe me...I LOVE my Maz 38. best amp I've ever owned and I dont ever see myself getting rid of it

Gut shot pl0x?
Then there's this band called Slice The Cake...

Bunch of faggots putting random riffs together and calling it "progressive" deathcore.
Stupid name.

This thread was almost a Blackstar HT-5 NAD. I had placed an order for one on GC's website but then saw this on eBay. A couple emails later and I was refunded the money needed to buy the Mini Z.

HNGD man, looking sexy. 2 knobs is fine with me, can always add an EQ pedal to the chain if need be.
