Hey guys,
was wondering with the advent of the Spider IV from Line 6 whether there may be a new Pod in the works? It's been a few years now and was just curious as to whether anyone had heard anything. I'm actually looking at buying the Pod X3 Live atm and was wondering whether to hold off or not. What do you guys think?

3 options:

- No
- Not untill they have more stuff
- they'll pull an XT and offer packages to buy

The only 'new' thing is the harmonizer mind you

Isn't the Spider IV platform (includes Spider Valve II mind you) based upon the X3?

Not entirely sure to be honest, but it seems to me that if that was the case and Line 6 are updating the software, then a new Pod wouldn't be surprising.

then they either downgraded the models or fitted it with truly ****e speakers Not dissing the tones, the demo's just don't sound as good as the X3 does

I doubt that Line 6 would make the Spider IV sound better than the POD.

Ny guess would be that because the X3 is somewhat new, they are upgrading the "lesser" products (aka Spider III and Spider Valve I) to the improved modeling tech they devised for the X3. I wouldn't worry about a new POD being imminent.
