I've recently been getting into maintaining my strat personally..
I adjusted the truss rod yesterday; to fix the bow in the neck and it worked out alright but the string height is much lower now and this caused me to realise another problem - a strong slant (string height near the bridge is much higher than near the headstock). Today I inserted a shim under the neck to try and fix the neck angle problem but am finding that the strings still have a slant and i cannot shim it anymore because the string height near the headstock is too low - even adjusting the saddles.

Is my nut too short or something? I'm not sure how to fix it...
